Senior Front-end Developer

Our Senior Front-end Developers focus on defining and creating highly interactive online experiences for clients ranging from bleeding-edge startups to the Fortune 500. Specializing in client-side technologies such as XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, PHP and ASP, Senior Front-end Developers collaborate with interactive designers and engineers to build complex solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Responsibilities

Gathers and documents front-end technical requirements
Creates technical designs of applications
Creates reusable mashups, leveraging open APIs, e.g. Yahoo! Maps, Flicker, etc.
Develops with a consideration for reusability
Helps define company coding standards based on industry best practices
Supervises junior staff in the maintenance and modification of existing applications
Performs code reviews of junior staff
Performs on-site consulting to clients alone or as part of a team
Must be self-motivated, organized and a team player
Strong attention to detail

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
4+ years of IT and/or consulting experience
Mastery in hand-coding Web Standards (HTML, XHTML, and CSS)
Mastery in advanced dynamic scripting languages and methods (JavaScript, Ajax, and DOM scripting)
Competent in or mastery of one or more of the primary dynamic Web technologies languages (ex: PHP, ASP, JSP)
Experience with Yahoo! UI framework
Has proven ability to maintain good interpersonal skills when dealing with other team members and when working with the client
Has demonstrated the ability to address and independently resolve technical and application issues

Additional Desirable Experience and Skills

Experience with multipurpose frameworks, such as Dojo, Prototype, jQuery, Script.aculo.us or Google API.
Knowledge of accessibility and usability development best practices
Knowledge of primary programming languages (ex: Java, VB)
Experience with portal applications, content management applications, or e-commerce engines
Database design and development
Graphic design
Interaction design
